Besides chatting with Claude, this little gadget tracks the ISS, shows live space and weather data, and snaps Game Boy-style photos. There's even a neural network running on the chip itself. It's all built around the ESP32-S3 on the Adafruit MEMENTO board.

With 14 chips in the ESP32 family, picking one can feel overwhelming. This guide walks through each chip currently on the market and compares their features, so you can match the right one to what you're building. It covers the eleven in mass production, from the original ESP32 to the newly launched S31.

Those tiny markings on surface-mount resistors aren't always easy to work out. This calculator converts 3-digit, 4-digit, EIA-96 and R-notation codes into resistance values.

Want a Wi-Fi camera that lets you watch and listen from any browser? This project builds one around a Freenove ESP32-S3 camera board and an INMP441 microphone. You can take photos and record clips with sound, and there's no cloud account or dedicated app to set up.

Some ESP32 boards carry PSRAM, which can lift working memory from roughly 512 KB to 8 MB, or even 16 MB on certain boards. It's slower than on-chip SRAM, so it's a trade-off of capacity against speed. This guide shows where PSRAM earns its place, from LVGL dashboards and ESP32-CAM streams to audio decoding and on-device models, and how to switch it on in ESPHome, Arduino IDE or ESP-IDF.

Plug in a matchbox-sized M5Stack Timer Camera X, connect from your phone, and type your Wi-Fi password once. You'll get a live stream and a clean dashboard that works on a PC or phone. It's all one Arduino sketch, with no cloud service or app involved.

Tired of juggling a Wi-Fi board and a separate Zigbee or Thread coordinator? The ESP32-C6 puts Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and an 802.15.4 radio on one chip, so a single dev board covers all three without extra adapters or GPIO wiring. ESPHome and Zigbee2MQTT support it too, so it connects straight to Home Assistant.

Fed up of reaching for your phone to check the weather? This project turns the ESP32 Cheap Yellow Display into a little desk companion that shows live conditions and upcoming forecasts on its 2.8-inch touchscreen. It pulls everything in over Wi-Fi, so you don't need any external sensors.

Would you like to see your own logo or photo on an SSD1306 OLED? This HTML and JavaScript tool turns your image into a C array that your Arduino code can keep in flash memory. Upload a picture, convert it, and you're ready to display it.

KryonOS gives the ESP32 and ESP32-S3 a graphical desktop with a launcher, a file manager, an App Store and cloud services. Apps run on a JavaScript engine and get roughly 90 KB of usable RAM.

The ESP32-C3 AdBlock is an open source DNS blocker that filters out ads and trackers for every device on your network. The developer reports it runs the core design in around 50 KB of RAM, so there's no heavy hardware involved.

The TYPE-2 V1.6 gives you two things in one project: a road-ready polyphonic synth you can assemble in under an hour, and a hands-on way to understand how synthesis works. It runs on an ESP32-S3 and includes USB MIDI, a pre-set manager and a USB audio bridge.
